AMANTECH


Established in 2008, the Aman Foundation (AF) is a local non-profit trust, based and operating in Pakistan. Inspired by a proactive commitment dedicated to human development, the Foundation undertakes strategic interventions in Pakistan to support development in multiple areas. The Foundation is committed to the relentless pursuit of sustainable, scalable and systemic development in the areas of health, nutrition, education and capacity building within Pakistan.

One of Aman Foundation's key pillars in the field of education, AMANTECH is a state of the art vocational training institute, which provides quality vocational education to the youth of Pakistan in order to enable them to become valuable contributors to their families and society. AMANTECH is affiliated with the City& Guilds United Kingdom for curriculum development, examinations and certifications.

The programs at AMANTECH are primarily aimed at the less privileged segments of the society to enable them to improve their living standards. As the first of its kind initiative for social development in Pakistan, AMANTECH is now on the road to building a brighter future for the youth of the country by improving their marketability through certified vocational trades.

AMANTECH is currently also pioneering demand-driven programs with industry partnerships and collaboration along with bespoke programs to address specific technical training needs for organizations. Chungbuk Semiconductor High School


Chungbuk Semiconductor High School is one of the Meister High Schools which were created in 2010 by the Korean government in order to diversify education in South Korea and give students the chance to develop personal aptitudes and specialized skills in order to pursue their dreams. Currently, 300 students study at Chungbuk Semiconductor High School with approximately a third getting a scholarship.
The school works close with industry, like Siemens, in order to tailor the offered study program to the needs of industry. Also some of the teachers at Chungbuk Semiconductor High School are retired veterans at semiconductor factories and can teach students on-site realities, something that students would not be able to access otherwise. As a result graduates from Chungbuk Semiconductor High School move easily into employment and a successful future career.

Department of Polytechnic Education (DPE), Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia


The polytechnic education was established in Malaysia since 1969 and Department of Polytechnic Education (DPE) was established in 2009. DPE is located in Putrajaya, Malaysia and offers 5 advanced diploma programs, 55 diploma programs and 5 special skills certificate programs. The department is responsible for 30 polytechnics and currently, 90,000 students are enrolled at the polytechnics from various programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology and Commerce. The DPE produced more than 400,000 graduates at advanced diploma, diploma and certificate levels until December 2011.
The DPE is a Certified Partner School in the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) for Level 1 and Level 2. For the year 2011, DPE produced 100 students in SMSCP Level 1. For this year, 200 students are planning to participate in the SMSCP for Level 1 and Level 2.

German-Malaysian Institute Malaysia


In 1991, German-Malaysian Institute (GMI), a hub for advanced skills training was established. GMI provides a comprehensive and well-balanced training of practical and theoretical. The institute offers a broad-based engineering education, with opportunities for specialization and self-directed learning and development. GMI offers diverse training programmes and services comprising full time diploma programmes, a pre-university programme (A-Level), skills upgrading technical courses, train-the-trainers programmes, and industrial consultancy and services.

The birth of GMI was the outcome of a joint venture between the Governments of Malaysia and Germany. GMI is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors comprising representatives from both governments, plus public and industrial representatives.

ITE College West


The Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore, was established as a post-secondary education institution in 1992 under the Ministry of Education. ITE is a principal provider of career and technical education and principal authority in developing national occupational skills certification and standards to enhance Singapore's workforce competitiveness. Under its "One ITE System, Three Colleges" Model of Education, ITE governs three Colleges, comprising ITE College Central, ITE College East and ITE College West.
ITE College West was established in 2005 and has over 8000 students enrolled. Students at ITE College West work towards one of 22 Nitec (National ITE Certificate) or 10 Higher Nitec qualifications. ITE College West provides world-class technical education in mechatronics as well as other technical, business, service and continuing education areas. ITE College West is the Preferred Provider of SMSCP Level 1 course-specific follow-up Instructor Certification training within the territory that includes the ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Nanjing College of Information Technology (NJCIT)


Nanjing College of Information Technology (NJCIT) in Nanjing, China, is a Certified Partner School in the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program. Established in 1953, NJCIT has an extremely high employment placement rate for its graduates. It currently has over 10,000 enrolled students in programs ranging from Business and Foreign Languages to IT and of course Mechatronic Engineering.

Seoul Robot High School


Seoul Robotics High School is one of the Meister High Schools in Korea. The Korean government created a new system of Meister High School in 2010 to diversify education and give students the chance to develop their aptitudes and specialized skills. And now, approximately 470 students are studying at Seoul Robotics High School.
To improve capability of students, the school implements various special courses in addition to regular study such as study club, consigned education that cooperates with colleges and corporation. The school also offers students a chance to partake in global internships to build their competencies.

Yeungnam University College


Yeungnam University College has a 40 year tradition and is one of the top technical colleges in South Korea. It is located in Nam-gu, Daegu, South Korea and offers two-, three- and four year degree programs in a variety of technical fields. Enrollment has risen dramatically over the years; the first graduating class in 1970 numbered 68, while the class of 2004 numbered 1,818. Today about 5700 students are enrolled at the college from which 600 are studying Mechatronics and 40 students are planning to participate in the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program.
