What are the advantages of hiring a Siemens Mechatronic Systems certified participant?
Siemens Mechatronic Systems certified participants have demonstrated mastery in areas of technical skills knowledge and the systematic thinking necessary to apply these skills in a professional environment-quickly and efficiently. Because SMSCP greatly stresses hands-on learning, our participants graduate with a high –level of practical knowledge that allows them to transition quickly into professional manufacturing and production environments. Furthermore, they have been proven able to understand complex English-language mechatronic systems and problems. Thanks to the obtained "Handlungskompetenz", our certified participants can adapt this knowledge to diverse mechatronic systems in a variety of fields. One of our most prized compliments is that SMSCP has helped new employees become more productive, faster, and with better results than more traditional training programs. As experience has shown, their broad spectrum of skills and know-how makes participants of the SMSCP valuable employees for almost every industry.
What can a certified participant actually do?
The course content is based on job profiles, which are a synthesis of the input of various industries, governments, and technical education experts- thus the practical relevance is ensured. Based on the respective level, the certified participant is qualified to do everything which is outlined in the particular job profile. So their application range reaches, briefly described, from ‘well-grounded machine operator in a complex system’ for Certified Assistants over ‘highly skilled technician’ for Certified Associates to ‘skilled designer of and expert on complex mechatronic systems’ for Certified Professionals.
Can certified participants only handle Siemens systems?
No, the SMSCP is not a product certification. It is a comprehensive, international industry standard skills certification program in mechatronic systems. Certified participants are able to handle various different mechatronic systems. Our partner schools use a range of training systems and several partner schools train students on at least two different types of systems.
How can I qualify my employees through the SMSCP?
The SMSCP is offered together with partner schools and workforce development programs worldwide. There are two key ways that your employees can be trained and certified at the SMSCP levels:
1) Depending on your location, you may be able to connect directly with a partner school. Many of our partners have a great deal of experience working with local business and industries to train existing employees.
2) If your company has a technical or vocational training facility, Siemens Technik Akademie Berlin can help you implement the SMSCP within the facility for employee training.
How does Siemens Technik Akademie Berlin incorporate SMSCP in its technical training?
The SMSCP is integrated into the Bachelor of Engineering program at Siemens Technik Akademie (STA) Berlin. The whole program is in English and the teachers from STA Berlin use the System Approach teaching method throughout the entire bachelor program to prepare our students in the best way for the working environment. During the 4-year study program STA students have to pass the exams for Level 1, 2 and 3.
